Richard A. Howard, MD, is the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Lab at Broward Health North Broward Medical Center.

Dr. Howard received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree Magna cum Laude with Distinction in Research from Union College in Schenectady, New York. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center Boston University School of Medicine. In his last year there he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. Dr. Howard was a Clinical Fellow in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate by the American Board of Internal Medicine for internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Howard is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He has authored and co-authored an array of several medical articles.
