Erol A. Yoldas, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon on staff at Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health Imperial Point. He also serves as team physician for South Florida's major league teams including the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins. Dr. Yoldas is also the team physician for Nova Southeastern University, and provides athletic team coverage for several Broward County high school teams. He also serves as spring training physician for the Baltimore Orioles when training in Fort Lauderdale.
The knee is a commonly injured joint. The ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) is one of the many ligaments that provide stability to the knee.Within recent years, the increase in injuries has been remarkable. Trauma to this ligament within the knee can be serious, and injuries to it usually occur during athletic activity.
